Meet Our People Kim Lipsky, CHES, MPH Senior Manager of Health Education, Kronos Optimal Health Company
Kim Lipsky focuses much of her considerable energy on improving the health of others – no small feat for the mother of two small children.
“We often use this quote: ‘If we made a difference in just one person’s life today, we did our job,’” she says with a smile.
Kim, senior manager of health education for Kronos Optimal Health Company, is the liaison with Kronos corporate wellness clients, helping employers instill and live a wellness culture in the workplace. Thanks to her health coaching expertise, Kim brings personal attention to the employees who participate in Kronos programs.
“Ideally, our goal is to help people realize any health issues they might have before they become a problem,” she says.
Previously, Kim was regional program manager for Club One Professional Services in San Jose, California. In that role, she developed and implemented an employee wellness program for 13 offices and 700 employees of Applied Materials throughout the East and West Coast. She developed wellness interventions for each worksite, conducted health and fitness assessments, taught fitness classes and established sports and recreation programs and online wellness and lifestyle enhancement opportunities for field employees.
Prior to that, she was community relations coordinator for Arizona Heart Institute and Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Kim oversaw community outreach efforts, such as public lectures and screenings, to raise awareness of heart and blood vessel disease.
She also planned, implemented and evaluated the first community health education programs for the Arizona Heart Hospital, including StatFacts, an emergency readiness program, and Healthy Thursdays, a free screening program.
Kim earned her Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in Health Education, at University of Arizona School of Public Health, and a masters degree in Public Health from California College for Health Sciences.
